FAQ

  • What are your hours of operation?
    We are open M-F 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • What insurance does River City accept?
    We accept the following insurances: Aetna, Anthem, Magellan, Medicaid, Optima Health, Optum, and VA Premier.
  • What is the process of starting services?
    The three-step process to start services is: 1) Referral 2) Assessment 3) Start program
  • Does River City offer outpatient therapy?
    Yes, please call our office at 804-230-0999 for specific availability.
  • Can I be in multiple services with RCCCS?
    Yes, it is important for River City to provide integrated services to individuals with Substance Use and Mental Health disorders.
  • What times are group sessions?
    IOP offers a morning session from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and an evening session from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. PHP sessions are from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm.
  • Are there group sessions during the holidays?
    Group sessions are not offered on holidays.
  • Do you provide wrap-around services?
    Yes, care coordination is a part of each service offered.
  • Do you offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
    We work with community partners that offer MAT services.
  • What's the difference between IOP and PHP?
    PHP is the next higher level of care for individuals not making optimal progress in IOP. PHP can also be a step-down program for individuals transitioning from higher levels of care such as 3.1
  • Can I bring my cell phone and laptop to the program with me?
    Electronic devices are not allowed during group sessions. We ask clients to refrain from using electronics until break time.
  • Can my family be a part of my treatment?
    Yes, family reunification sessions are held according to individualized treatment plan.
  • How do I stay focused on recovery after I complete the program?
    You will be linked to our step-down alumni support group. In addition, you will be provided with a list of NA/AA meetings.
